Celebrating NC GAL Child Advocates
The month of April is an opportunity to recognize and thank volunteers who lend their time, talent, voice and support to causes they care about. Their stories serve to inspire others to take action, to realize their power to make a difference, and be a force that transforms the world for the children we serve. Because of the 5,500 volunteers over 5,000 children achieved permanency and over 18,050 children had someone speak for their best interest in court.
We take this time to celebrate the impact of volunteer service on our communities. The local events, volunteer projects and social media conversations that take place during this month demonstrate that every individual has the power to create change – taking action to tackle society’s greatest challenges, and build stronger, more resilient communities.
